Learn To Play: - US Lacrosse Soft Stick Program - Fall and Spring
Cusabo Nation Volunteer Coaching staff will offer in the Fall and the Spring four "Learn to Play" sessions for beginners that want to learn the basics of the game. Our program is based on the instruction of the "Soft Stick" program established by US Lacrosse. We will provide the Soft Stick equipment.
Registration Window: Fall Sep 1 - Sept 15 and Spring Mar 1 - Mar 15

Spring Rec Ball (CCRD)
Cusabo Nation Lacrosse actively promotes and supports the City of Charleston's Recreational Department (CCRD) Spring Recreational League.
Spring Rec is the centerpiece of Cusabo's outreach for the promoting the game. Registration is performed through the City of Charleston website. We can assist you in registering by Pre-Registering with us on our Home Page. We will send you the registration forms via email. Our Volunteer Parents promote registration with local schools and our Volunteer Coaches will lead our players through a fun and rewarding Spring Rec League. Players will learn all aspects of the game in a fun and competitive environment. Practice and game format is one practice a week and two games a week. Schedules will be posted on this web site once the City Registration process is closed.

Renegades Spring Travel Tournament(s):
In conjunction with the CCRD Rec League, Renegades Lacrosse Coaching staff will be offering travel tournament opportunities for selected players for Grades 2-9 during the months of February to April.
Games will be scheduled for Saturday or Sundays and will not conflict with Rec Ball. Practices will be required but limited to once a week. Eligibility: Players are required to play for an area Spring Youth Recreational League or School League. Currently the Greater Charleston Area has two qualifying Youth Recreational Leagues: Mt. Pleasant (MPRD) and The City of Charleston (CCRD) Rec league.
Note: Players who commit to The Nation and the CCRD program will be at an advantage as they will be fully exposed to our coaching system. Cusabo Nation players will have the skills and the knowledge to compete at a high level.
All players must be active members of US Lacrosse to complete registration.

Renegades Summer Travel:
Travel Teams will be formed and created for the purpose of competing on a Regional and National Level. The practice and tournaments for Travel Teams will be scheduled from the first weekend of May to Mid July. See the Game Schedule under the Team Tab for all tournament and hotel information. Players who try out will be selected for the teams based on: sportsmanship, coach-ability, skill, and experience.
All players must be active members of US Lacrosse to complete registration.
*Rosters will be limited to 15-20 players.
*There is no charge to try-out.

Girls: March-April 15, Tryouts April 16
Renegade Summer Camp - Boys & Girls:
Have some Lax-on fun! Lacrosse day camps are great for those that are newer to the game or those that have been playing for years. Our 8 to 1 player to coach ratio will insure excellent instruction. We will spend the earlier part of the week introducing and re-enforcing the fundamentals of the game. The later part of the week will be spent introducing players to in-game situations. Throughout the week, we will tie in different competitions and games that give the athletes an opportunity to show off what they learned at camp and a chance to win prizes! The week culminates with a 7-v-7 game day.
Renegades Lacrosse Day Camps are open to players who are entering/rising 2nd grade through 7th grade. Full equipment is required.
What to expect:
- Stick Skills with emphasis on the off-hand
- Dodging and cutting
- Time and room shooting
- In-game strategy & Position skills:
- Defense: man down, zone, fast breaks, clears
- Offense: shooting on the run, setting up from “X”
- Midfield: Clears, Rides, Isolations & Shooting on the run, Face-offs for older players
- End of the week 7v7 games in round robin format
All players must be active members of US Lacrosse to complete registration.

Cusabo Summer and Fall League: (Local Play) - (7v7 and 10v10)
Cusabo Nation Lacrosse offers 7v7 and 10v10, boys and girls, lacrosse two nights a week from 6:00 PM on. Team registration is accepted on our site. Your must have a coach to enter the league. We will also host a Free Fall Ball Clinic led by MLL player Billy Bitter prior to the Palmetto Classic Tournament in Ravenel, SC.
Registration will be on this website and all players must be active members of US Lacrosse to complete registration.

Renegades Fall Travel:
Fall Tournament play will be offered. Fall Ball practice will be scheduled on Tuesday, Thursdays, and Sundays. Pick your plan considering other Fall sport commitments. Fall Tournaments are scheduled for two to three weekends in October until mid November. See the Game Schedule under the Team Tab for all tournament and hotel information. The off season is a great place step up your game. We will also host a Free Fall Ball Clinic led by MLL player Billy Bitter prior to the Palmetto Classic Tournament in Ravenel, SC.
